Body Therapy
Mindful Touch Therapy is a person-centred approach I've developed over the years. Through gentle touch, I help deepen the therapeutic relationship and your presence with yourself.
Interview about Mindful Touch Therapy
What is the aim?
- You are in better contact with yourself
- My presence is felt in a holistic way, directly linked to your ongoing processes
- The actualizing tendency – your natural drive toward growth – finds more space to be active
Unlike other body-oriented approaches, I don't try to correct, push, or open anything. I don't remodel or rebalance. I accompany what your whole being is trying to become.
How it works
Every session starts and ends with the possibility of talking. The physical contact usually takes place on a massage table, simply for comfort.
The key to this work is permanently searching for what feels right for you. You are invited to be especially attentive to:
- Is the attention in the right place?
- Is the touch adequate?
- Do you need to talk or be silent?
- Do some body parts need more or less attention?
Any emotion, thought, or hesitation can be expressed at any time.
What can happen
Listening to the body clearly disarms the inner critic. Body-work helps you go deeper into contact with yourself while staying connected to reality.
The body is linked to many taboos that hide real experience. Fear, apprehension, projection hold back our authentic selves. A body-oriented listening invites direct experience – and as there is no guidance, judgement or analysis, trust in your inner process can grow.
